- The color itself

- When no light is reflected to your eye

- The type of light it is seen with

- A visual tool that shows the relationship between primary secondary tertiary colors

- Orange, green, and violet,

What are neutral colors? How can they be created?
- Colors of very low saturation and are created by mixing complementary colors

How can a neutral color help a design?
- They help put the focus on other colors or serve tone down colors

What are complementary colors? Name them?
- Colors positioned opposite of each other on the color wheel

Red and green, orange and blue, yellow and violet

What is color value?

- Lightness or darkness of the hue

What is a shade?

- Adding black to a color

What is a tint?

- Adding white to a color

What is saturation/intensity?

- The brightness of a color

- You produce a dull tone

- They smoothing in nature; they express passiveness, comforting, and nurturing; gives an expression of calm
